New use cases for testing automated driving Automated mobility solutions are already an important part of our transport system today. To enable the testing of automated driving on public roads under secure framework conditions, the Austrian edict on automated driving (AutomatFahrV) was published in 2016. The 2nd amendment of the AutomatFahrV now came into force on 1st April 2022 and presents further use cases. Find out more about the updates in the amendment in our article. How can the procurement of automated mobility be supported? In order to support the positive aspects of automated mobility even more in the future, the public sector must be involved at an early stage. In our current publication "Automated Mobility & Public Procurement Promoting Innovation", AustriaTech and the PPPI Service Center have summarised which steps must already be taken by procurers today and which measures and framework conditions must be observed for the procurement of automated mobility solutions. NAPCORE: Harmonising mobility data internationally The NAPCORE project is working on a cross-border harmonisation of mobility data. At an online event on 18th February 2022, more than 200 participants were informed about the status quo of the project activities and which steps are being taken to create a common mobility data space. Tips At the ISO TC211 in Vienna participants will discuss the standardisation of data from 9.-13.5.2022. Get more information here.
